I've been thinking about that question quite a bit lately. The message of Gods Grace is captivating to me because it puts us all on a level playing field, those who truly are proponents of the Grace message, say like people who teach it and truly live by it are a strange bunch, "a Peculiar people",,, the ones who truly understand or have caught the message don't seem to look down their noses at those who haven't attained as much, because near as I can see, if you've attained to something and grown and your are sold to the pure gospel, then you can look down on no one because you've come to realize that what ever it is you've attained to, it has been by Gods grace alone. The people who seem to really get it are very peculiar indeed... I like that.
Its a very humbling message and only the humble seem to excel in it. There is a lesson in this somewhere for me.
Only Grace.
Best

I love that the "initials" on the sign are J C.
He IS a peculiar one, isn't He??
Hi FS, I googled peculiar images in google and choose that pic, I don't think the JC thing dawned on me until after I posted it, but yeah neat stuff...

ps. so are you friend.
Aloha to that, fellow water buffalo!
Ya ba dab ah doo !!!
I love your stuff. While you were away from blogging I almost cut and pasted the Dag post because I was focussing on the way the Body builds of itself....
Anyhow I didn't and there are other post ideas that have not yet happened.
In reference to this one, if anyone hangs out in the Body enough you get to see how irrelevant achievements and background are in determining status. Because God delights in speaking His Word over whoever and bringing impossible things to pass. For example some parents in High Wycombe Bucks UK got really concerned about their autistic son. They prayed for years into his condition. Now the son runs a business and employs his very own Dad. What a turnaround. But this is not unique. This is repeated a gazillion times all over the world...often totally unrecognized by the rest of the unbelieving world. It's not that God is not doing stuff...as His very creation attests....it's often that people , through choosing unbelief as a lifestyle, lose the very capacity to perceive the very real things God is continually doing everywhere.
forgot to tick the follow up box
Thanks Chris, Im going to forward your comment to the author of of the Dag post. Also thanks for reminding us about the absurdity of achievements and backgrounds...
Best and hey to yours for me.
Leonard
good thinking
can you put this on the sharing and caring site?
Hi NaNcY, yes but in the middle of some stuff right now, will try and do that by the end of the day,, color me slow...LoL..
Leonard
groovy, man.
And I thought I was the only one who read the "word verification." I've often thought about keeping a list and making a poem. The current verification reads: "plate" - reminds me that it's time for lunch!
on Facebook or other blogs know...I have had some very prescient sounding word verifications.
The last Kafka post which described how I didn't get into a Humanities Course at Cambridge, particularly because of the rather wet ways I was answering questions about Kafka...and yet nevertheless I was appreciating his stories all the more as I understood more about intercession. Well the word verification was Curer Humanitas, which I thought was really apt for the subject matter.
thanks for posting this on s&c
n.
It was kinda ez all i had to do was cut and paste it with my curser, so it only took a sec, see when you asked me i was kinda busy and thought it was going to be a major undertaking, well I guess word pad is alot more easier to work with then i thought... Hope your having a great day
Leonard
ps. whos n ??? ha ha just kidding.
I have love this journey of learning about Grace, who is a person. Especially the freedom from the law that I have experienced through it.
I agree with you, it is by grace alone that we attain anything from the Lord.
Great Post! I was roaming around and happened upon your blog! Thought I would stop and say hello, as I enjoyed your post.
Please stop by and say hello sometime as well.
Hi Davita, thanks for saying hello and Ill will be sure and stop by sometime soon.
Best
Leonard
ps. your husband has a very good looking haircut so I think you made a good pick, i sport a snapper head myself.
Leonard, Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, even though your brain was not working right then LOL. I am always, always open to hearing what others have to say. I love hearing about Grace and the more I hear and learn the more I grow in God's love for me. Your comments are always welcome! Even if you have something to say that is different from my post. This is how we learn and grow!
I agree with you about my hubby's hair cut, LOL I happen to quite like it myself, he wears it well :)
love making new friends! I look forward to your next post.
Daveda, I've been thinking about coleslaw on and off, for a while now, thank you.
"I love hearing about Grace and the more I hear and learn the more I grow in God's love for me."
Wow, you seem to have a good grip on your Identity, and that is something i struggle with allot but have come to the conclusion that what you just said here is (KEY!!!) and i need to surrender to that fact...
A bit of Irony for ya...
You look allot like a sister and old blogging friend of mine and you have the same name... It means Beloved, and I use to like to quote her allot, you'll find some quotes of hers near the bottom of this page but the short cuts have gone bad because she decided to delete her blog quite some time ago, I miss her smiling face around here. Also Matt really dose have a good looking snapper head it makes me think of places Somewhere in my memory where another Matt resides and he too sports a snapper head... course not as handsome as mine but hey he's trying,,,LoL ,, just kidding, "Matt C"
Best to you and Yours ...
Leonard
Leonard - WOW! someone with my name?!?! That doesnt happen very often! To bad she is not still blogging, I would have loved to "meet" her.
I put up a new post entitled "The Power to Make Coleslaw" After I went back and reread my post and read a couple of comments, I realized that people who do not know me, could have misunderstood my point. Maybe you could stop back by and tell me what you think of the update.
I ask my Father daily (well, most days) for a fresh redemptive revelation of His love for me. I think we can see His love in one area, yet struggle to see it in another. I find that the more I learn about Grace the freer(is that a word LOL) I feel to receive all He has for me :-}
I will stop by and visit Matt. Though I have to say, I am not sure anyone wears a LOL..what did you call it..."snapper head" as well as my wonderful Hubby!
I am enjoying getting to know you Leonard! Have a great Week!
She dose use an I instead of an E in the middle but im sure they are pronounced the same, as far as i can tell ya's have the same nose hair and eyes and your cheek bones are set about the same. got any distant relatives in S Africa ???
Ill stop over and check that recipe soon and thanks for your kind words...
funny thing about the snapper head, a friend of Dee's called me that along time ago and have never used it till now but always remembered it,,,, took me a few minutes to figure out that the guy was telling me i had a lawn mower hair cut...
Best.
Good point and a good reminder as well. Thanks Leonard!
Hello my friend, and thank you.
Best
ps. I Trust you.
Dropped by to give and get some love, Leo-dear.
{{{you}}} Tight hugs! :)
Back atcha Jamie and thanks can't help with the tight hugs though "logistics", but know a guy that might be able to square that for ya. When you and Ryan get home tonight ya's both go out to the porch, have Ryan unhook your swing and turn it over, there's some Equipment and "USER" maintenance instructions written on the underside, but no peeking till Ryan gets there.
tight hugs to the ripsticker for me , thanks...
Leonard
ps. I suppose you can hug Ryan for me to, but no kissing cus I don't swing that way... I like the Eskimos... LoL
so cool
Hi ya Chris...
by the way, the non activity on the IM messaging front with yourself is simply not sitting down and working it all out. Blogging was hard enough.
No problem, we'll get there eventually... It'll be cool for ya, cuz Jamie and alota your other friends are on it too.
Leonard
Christine said she saw you on organic Church. I've not heard of that one. Her friends Terence and Eileen Rous are on it. They were her very real "life joints for a while"...before she got jointed to me!!!!
yeah ya know i joined several of those forums and cant figure out how to get myself off of em, its just to much trying to keep up with em all so im gonna stay on joels and i might go ahead and stay on fb but just try and be a little more disciplined, cuz i can waste alotta time and blogging is where i met folks and developed quality relationships , also i dont have the skill set it took me about 5 minets just to type this....LoL
ps. who came out ahead in that deal ??? just kidding of course...
Best to ya Chris.
